Summer vacation looks a bit different this year so we're helping you embrace the STAY-cation!

We're all trying to stay closer to home this year and while that might mean your typical summer vacation was canceled, it doesn't mean there's no way to enjoy the summer. So, we've compiled a list of staycation spots within driving distance of the Lowcountry. Stay safe and enjoy!

1. Sea Pines Lighthouse

"A visit to Hilton Head Island isn't complete without a trip to the Harbour Town Lighthouse. With its museum-like setting, visitors are invited to explore the rich history of the island as they climb the steps of this iconic candy cane-striped structure. Learn fun facts about Hilton Head Island, listen to authentic Lowcountry music, view artifacts from the island's historic eras, including the Civil War, and find a collection of memorabilia from the PGA TOUR's famed RBC Heritage Presented by Boeing."

2. Coligny Plaza & Tiki Hut

"The only toes in the sand, drinks in hand experience on Hilton Head—Tiki Hut is the island's best beach bar. Enjoy live music nearly every day, play a friendly match of volleyball, and sip tasty cocktails crafted by the Island's favorite bartenders. With the beach at our backdoor, the music turned up, the dance floor open, Southern favorites to satisfy your cravings, and frosty drinks to cool you off—Tiki Hut is the place to be."

3. Hunting Island State Park

"Hunting Island is South Carolina’s single most popular state park, attracting more than a million visitors a year, as well as a vast array of land and marine wildlife. Five miles of pristine South Carolina beaches, thousands of acres of marsh and maritime forest, a saltwater lagoon and ocean inlet are all part of the park’s natural allure."

Luckily there are lots of ways to still enjoy the summer while staying safe.

4. Fripp Island
