SPECIAL SAUCE: OUR RECIPE FOR RAVING FANS

Oct 24 5 minutes read

Spend less money on Halloween preparations. These inexpensive DIY Halloween decorations will completely transform your indoor and outdoor areas, whether you're an expert crafter or a complete novice.

These inexpensive and simple decorations add a festive atmosphere to your home without breaking the bank, from DIY pumpkin dioramas to bloody table decor. The decor is suitable for a haunted abode with faux blood-dripping candlesticks, witchy magic potions with dangling ligaments, and creepy tombstone chair covers. Or, if you want a more whimsical appearance, we've got cute centerpieces, entertaining wreaths, and amiable macramé ghosts that double as outdoor Halloween decorations.

Grab some crafting materials (you probably already have some in the house) and get to work creating these incredibly enjoyable and simple Halloween decorations. To make your way through this list, you most certainly don't need to be an expert; there are even a few kid-friendly craft ideas (like paper ghost garland or vampire bat leaves).

Dried Flower Wreath

The latest trend is dried flowers. Add some plastic spiders to give them a creepy feel. Fill the wreath form with dried flowers and branches to make it (be sure they are secure by weaving them into the wreath base). Larger items come first, then smaller, thinner items are layered on top. Finally, use floral wire to attach the dried fruit by looping it around the wreath form after threading it through the holes (you may need hot glue if the dried fruit you are using has no holes).

Cupcake Liner Pumpkin

Most likely, you already have everything you need to make these fashionable pumpkins in your home. After gathering your supplies, start by dividing the cupcake liners in half. Double stick tape a matte black, folded cupcake liner as closely as you can to the pumpkin's stem, starting at the top. As you fill a vertical line from top to bottom, slightly overlap the liner placement. Make another vertical row with the metallic folder liners, ensuring sure the rounded edges are visible and to overlap just a little to create a lovely texture. Till your pumpkin is completely covered, repeat the instructions.

Magic Potion Bottles

Create your own potions and transform your house into a witches' hut. To make the look of severed body parts, place snacks like gummy candies and beef jerky in a glass container (you could even use an old candle jar). Pour water, food coloring, and glitter into the jars using a funnel to make the spooky components float.

Spiderweb Pumpkin

Put a new spin on the standard pumpkin carving technique by cutting off an oval at the front rather than the top. Remove the pulp and seeds. the entire pumpkin with black spray paint (be careful around the stem). After that, poke holes all the way around the opening with an awl tool. To make a web, pass string through the gaps. Install a plastic spider on the web using hot glue to complete your spooky pumpkin.

Creepy Candles

With this easy DIY, you can give your house a spooky makeover. Use vivid red candlesticks in matte black candle holders, and for the flowing blood effect, add drips of crimson hot glue.

Halloween Bar Cart

Large helium balloons should be tulle-wrapped. Trim the skirt as necessary and tie a ribbon at the bottom. Retro labels printed on sticker paper can be attached to plain liquor bottles to give them some flair.

Skeleton Face Candy Packaging

You can put one of these adorable skull candy holders at each place setting as a tasty surprise for your guests once you've made them. Spray paint all of the egg boxes white inside and out, then give them time to dry. Using scissors or a craft knife, cut out the skeleton face templates from the black construction paper, or build your own! Apply a thin amount of sticky glue to the egg's surface and tightly press down the paper face pieces before adhering them.

Vampire Bat Leaves

A fantastic one to try with the kids! All you have to do is gather some leaves, paint them matte black, then add some faces using a white marker.

Origami Balloon Lights

Construct origami balloons to upgrade your standard string lights; they're quick and simple to make, and even kids can help! Put a festive message on the balloons, such as a frightful "Beware" or a humorous "Boo."
