Now, Lowcountry is all about family traditions, and the Southern hospitality will always be innate within the community-- the hearty dishes, numerous family gatherings, and the songs of Christmas carol all day long! But the holiday fever doesn't stop there--so here are some of the activities that you can do on Christmas Eve 2019 while you here in the South Carolina coastal area.
2nd Annual Pickin' on Christmas Eve
When: Dec. 24, 2019 - 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM
Where: The Dunes House, 14 Dune House Ln, Hilton Head Island, SC 29928
Start your Christmas celebration with some holiday music ON THE BEACH! Drop by Dunes House for some Lowcountry boil and tunes of the Bluegrass band. A limited winter menu will be available. It's going to be a memorable Christmas beach party, so don't miss it!
Hilton Head Campus Christmas Eve Candlelight Services
When: Dec. 24, 2019 - 4:30 PM to 9:30 PM
Where: Saint Andrew By-The-Sea UMC, 20 Pope Ave, Hilton Head Island, SC 29928
Come by the beautifully adorned Hilton Head Campus Sanctuary for the three candlelight service to commence the joyous Christmas celebration ahead. Children are welcome to participate in presenting the children's Christmas pageant, "Silent Night, Holy Night". There will also be a traditional candlelight and communion service, both accompanied by the melodious sounds of harp playing.
Christmas Eve Holiday Gathering | Moreland Landing

The five-story treehouse at the Montage Palmetto Bluff with expansive views of the May River has always been a go-to of the Lowcountry residents every Christmas season. Join the community for a festive Christmas Eve celebration this Tuesday, and treat yourself to some oyster roasts, a delicious Lowcountry boil, and a whole lot of fixins-- a true Southern holiday tradition unmatched!
Christmas Eve Campfire

Experience a laidback Christmas Eve service at the Live Oak Christian Church this Tuesday, and sing songs of fellowship around the firepits! Wrap up the evening with some relaxing music, s' mores, hot choco or hot cider. Bring some chairs and blankets to get more comfortable, and get your well-deserved peace before the chaos of Christmas cooking begins.
Christmas Eve under the Stars

Bluffton Oyster Park presents a free family event that promises to create memories and traditions for the entire community in the years to come-- and it's happening this Christmas Eve! Join the eighth year of singing Christmas carols, lighting candles, treats, and refreshments, and spend Christmas Eve under the Stars!
