Another month passed by and we are now looking forward to the start of the Summer. Get your gears up and running as we give you the list of events that will be happening in the Lowcountry. Take a good look and make your awesome choice.

Beaufort Film Festival Society’s Shorts at High Noon

Date: June 6, 2018, 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm

            June 13, 2018 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm

            June 20, 2018 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm

            June 27, 2018 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm

Venue: USCB Center for the Arts

Presenting the films from its vast collection of short films,  student films, and animation films, Beaufort Film Society will host this event once again. These films will contain everything from audience favorites to category winners.

Juneteenth – Bluffton Community Celebration!

Date: June 15, 2018

Venue: Bluffton Oyster Factory Park

The Bluffton Community will be buzzing with a Celebration of Emancipation and Freedom at the Heyward House & Oyster Factory Park. The event will be presented by The Bluffton MLK Observance Committee and the Bluffton Historical Preservation Society with support from the Town of Bluffton Government.

Dragonboat Race Day 2018

Date: Jun 23 @ 8:00 AM EDT - 4:00 PM EDT

Venue: Waterfront St, St Helena Island, SC 29920, USA

DragonBoat Beaufort is a local cancer survivor/supporter racing team. They will once again invade Beaufort on Saturday at  Henry C. Chambers Park in downtown Beaufort, South Carolina. This event has become increasingly popular among locals and out-of-towners alike.

30th Annual HarbourFest FIREWORKS

Date: June 26, 2018, 6:00 PM

Venue: Shelter Cove Harbour

Lots of foods, arts and crafts and family-oriented entertainment with Shannon Tanner and Cappy the Clown and a fireworks finale at dusk, so long as the weather permits.

Sweetgrass Basket Making Classes!

Sweetgrass Basket Making classes are being offered by The Coastal Discovery Museum at Honey Horn this summer. Know more about the history of the Sweetgrass basket, one of the Lowcountry’s best-known art forms, straight from a local Gullah basket maker.
